We are a small business in the Dog Treats Manufacturing.
We are located in the rural low-income area of Centralia, WA 98531.
Our current employees are in the low-income rural setting, minorities such as Native American,
Asian, Hispanic, LGBTQ, Deaf /Hard of Hearing, Autism, Neurodiversity, Blind and Learning disabilities.
I also work with the local schools and college program, Vision Co-op program with their students (with disabilities)
getting the necessary training and tools to work in the workforce after completing their schooling.
Born Deaf, I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit with an attitude and approach to thinking that actively seeks out change, rather than waiting to adapt to change. My parents were told when I was a toddler that I would never graduate from school, hold a job, live on my own, etc. But neither my parents were willing to accept this as a reality for me.
As a deaf entrepreneur who spent my early career working with students with disabilities, providing employment opportunities for people who are deaf or and other differently abled people has always been one of my primary motivations. I worked in education for 20+ years, and that entire time I saw my deaf and disabled students struggling to find work or opportunities after graduation.
When I started 4Legz, I wanted to change that reality.
As a result, one of 4Legz core values is supporting those in the disability community.
Through our connections in the local community, we provide deaf, neurodiverse, and differently abled people with the experience they need to secure jobs.
We also work with organizations that promote the health and well-being of animals, provide affordable veterinary services, and train and match service dogs with those who need them.
4Legz intends to use the funds to expand our marketing and advertising capacity and team. We are in need to purchase better equipment’s that best utilize our staffs
with more automation features, remodeling the existing location with better ventilation system and HVAC, better lightings and flashing light for the smoke detectors
for the deaf and hard of hearing, a full time job coach to work with the employees with disabilities for on the job trainings.
